Blood Sports - The Hard Facts
Hunting is NOT necessary. Hunting is NOT humane. Hunting is cruel and should be banned. In September 2001, a foxhunting party tried to kill an anti-hunting protester. Although the protester was seriously ill in hospital, the police did nothing. This is disgusting behaviour and means that hunters not only like to see the blood of animals, but the blood of humans too. Hunting is a sport. Hunters love to see animals (rabbits, hares, deer, foxes) getting ripped to pieces by their dogs. Hunters try to make hunting sound humane by telling people that the animals are killed instantly. Another lie, because a LOT of the time, the hunted animals are usually not totally killed and are left to die a slow, agonising death on their own. Really not acceptable! But the subject of hunting is a tough one. If hunting were to be banned, then what would happen to the dogs? The dogs would have to be shot because they are no longer needed. Please write to your local MP (look in your phone book) and tell them that the breeding of hounds for hunting should be stopped. That is the first step to the end of the barbaric sport.
