Puppy Farms
Puppy farms. Some of you may be thinking: aww cute little puppies running around a farmyard. The truth is, puppy farms are nasty places where mother dogs are imprisoned in a filthy cages forced to breed litter after litter of puppies. In PETA’s (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) recent investigation of a puppy farm, they found that some of the dogs had unfortunately gone mad from being in a cage. They were circling round their cages and growling. Other dogs had crusted-over eyes oozing puss, some had terrible ear infections and none of the dogs had protection from the searing sun-heat.
For every puppy bought at a pet-store, another puppy is destroyed at a dog pound or dog shelter.
What can You do?
For starters, PLEASE do not buy puppies from pet-shops. They have come from puppy farms.
